Help our Hilliard Students travel to Washington D.C.
You may have heard that the tour company the Hilliard Schools has used for many years to take students to Washington D.C. filed for bankruptcy recently. Sadly, this was just after our families made their payments for the October 2018 school year.
The good news is Hilliard Schools has secured a new tour company and the trip will go on! This is an authentic learning opportunity for our 8th grade students.
While we know many families are working through their credit card and banking institutions to be reimbursed, we know some won’t be able to get their money back. We also know that close to 25% of our students are in the free and reduced lunch program and unable to afford this trip.
We are partnering with the Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce and the Hilliard Education Foundation to ask our community business partners to help sponsor scholarships for our students in need. The trip cost is $390 per student.
